Speaker AHello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Quest Happens. We've got something a little special for you today. Well, I don't even know what we're gonna call this, y'.
Speaker AAll.
Speaker AI mean, it's not gonna be a full episode, like, storyline stuff, but we. I think, kind of like an intermission episode. We're gonna actually just kind of sit and discuss all of arc one of our episodes. But I am your dungeon master, Corey Keller, and I'm joined today with.
Speaker AYour first.
Speaker AThis has never happened.
Speaker AThrew me off.
Speaker ALauren, does that make me second?
Speaker AThat makes you second.
Speaker AThis time it's Nathan and Nick Jackson.
Speaker AWell, hello.
Speaker AAlways the last name.
Speaker AAlways the last one. Yes. So, yeah, I thought we would do something a little special. I mean, I. It's nothing new. A lot of podcasts do this. But we're done with arc one, and I figured before we jump into the second arc of our adventures, our adventurers quests, we could just kind of sit back, catch up and talk about, you know, arc number one and all.
Speaker ACan we do a clip show like sitcoms used to do?
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker AWe say something and then. Yeah, it shows that scene, then comes back.
Speaker AKind of hard to do a montage, a musical montage.
Speaker ACould we do a clip show for a different show? Like, we just keep cutting to, like, Simpsons episodes we like?
Speaker AYes, I think that would be absolutely amazing, actually.
Speaker AIt makes sense.
Speaker AYou want to add laughing to the background when someone says something that's not even funny.
Speaker AYeah, exactly. Guys, I just found out I have. I just found out I have cancer.
Speaker AThat's. And then the credits roll.
Speaker AThat's the whole show. No, but, yeah, I just. Like I said, I just thought it'd be cool to sit and talk about. So we've done technically nine episodes in the Sendaio arc one quest line with three side quests. Well, technically two side quests, but three episodes worth of two side quests. So we've made some headway.
Speaker A12 Episodes. That's more than a modern season of a serialized program.
Speaker ANo kidding. Yeah. I mean, I think that's pretty great. Obviously, we don't want each arc to be terribly long. We kind of want each arc to have a specific purpose. And I felt where we ended last episode was like, that's the specific purpose of arc one was the anomalies a little bit growing into who they are, finding out more about the dangers of the world and then being faced with the crossroads. And I mean, anytime you're faced with the crossroads, you'll either, what, sell Your soul to the devil to play guitar better or you'll, you know, fiddle.
Speaker ASometimes it's a guitar too.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AYou know, or you decide to, you know, try to save the world.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AYeah. So looking back, you all as the players, I mean, you had to experience all this and make the decisions and, you know, find the paths. So with our 12 episodes, you know, nine being the main storyline, three being side quests, like, how do you feel that, like, your characters are doing in this world?
Speaker AI can't. I don't. My first thought is the. I just really enjoy the silliness. It's really been enjoyable. And the chemistry between.Between the characters, I think, has been really good. I wanted to share that.
Speaker AYeah, it's like, I guess as far as, like, how Stump is doing in the world. I went back and listened to all the episodes, and we have improved so much. And I feel like the way Stump actually is, is, like, it's more set in stone now. Like, Stump is Stump. At the beginning, it was like I had this idea of what I wanted Stump to be, but now it feels like it's just like Stump is naturally being Stump instead of trying to force it. Yeah, we've all gotten so much better at just interacting. One of the episodes, early ones I listened to, it's the one right after we served the citation to the dads. We just had no idea how to progress and we just kept going in circles. But now when we start something, we're all really good at knowing the cue.Like, okay, we need to stop, move on now it's time for fun now let's do story. And we have so much of a better pace now. But, yeah, I am shocked because I.
Speaker AFeel like I still don't know what I'm doing.
Speaker ANo, seriously, I feel like all of us have gotten so good at just keeping up. We're not, like, as unsure of ourselves. When we first started, it wasn't, you know, it wasn't too bad, but, like, it's one of those things where, like, you can't notice how it gets better until you go back and listen to, like, nine in a row. And it's, like, really quite noticeable.
Speaker AAbsolutely. And how do you feel?Like, was it hard to kind of make that progression for you all to, like, start really filling your characters and learn leaning from each other? Or do you feel like it was pretty natural to kind of pick up off of.
Speaker AI felt like picking up off you guys was, like, really easy the whole time.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AMy problem was finding the balance of, like, I was always worried That I was, like, not saying enough or saying too much and, like, finding that balance of, like, okay, I feel like I'm not taking things too far to where Stump is being overbearing and. But also not just, like, not doing anything.
Speaker ADo you feel less in your head now?Because I never thought any of those things, even from the get go, But I know that you felt that way, and I hope that you are less in your head about it.
Speaker AI am way less in my head.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AGood.
Speaker AI was. Was like, one day I'll be as good at this as Nathan.
Speaker AI just want to be as funny as Nathan. That's all I wanted.
Speaker AI do think that it's. I think it's like a.It is like a sitcom or a seasonal, you know, TV show or whatever, where the first season, the characters are all, like, a little awkward.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThey don't know yet. They don't know how to interact or they're overdoing it or, you know, and I don't know that we had.We had some of that, you know, I. I could not get my. The voice down. I would slide over into, like, actually the stump.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOr Mario. Or Mario.
Speaker AIt's really hard to notice unless you're, like, listening for it, but yet there's, like, a couple moments where you, like, start going to stump and then you come back into elu.
Speaker AThat's on it. Yeah.
Speaker AI had to watch a lot of. I was watching a lot of Scottish. How to speak in a Scottish accent videos. Yeah. Reels and stuff. But I do think just over time, at first I'm like, what. What is Stump doing?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut then how Elui reacts to that, you know, it was like, okay, if I see what now might happen here, and then I know the reaction.
Speaker AYeah. You guys got really good at, like, handling stuff, which I think all this.
Speaker AMakes sense too, because in this world was the first time you all would have met to begin with.So it kind of worked out perfect to where, you know, first couple episodes, you're trying to really fill each other out, which is something that would actually happen, you know, realistically of trying to fill each other out. Learning each other's ticks, learning each other's, you know, how. What sets you off, what doesn't. And.And then starting to learn how to manage that or use it to your advantage or disadvantage.
Speaker AYeah, that's true.
Speaker AMm.
Speaker AI'll say that. I really thought Nathan was. You were actually kind of. I was like, he must be upset tonight or something.
Speaker AFor the magic.
Speaker AYeah. Because at the moment. Yeah. Because you were not. So I was looking on some stuff.I don't know, actually, I think it was even last night and it was a reel. And it was talking about when you play D and D, you know, you're not the character you're writing the character you're writing. You're.You're like the author of the character.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd so it's not, it's not Nick being Louis. It is, it is. How would I write? What would he actually do here? You know, and so I just feel like you did that beautifully and I'm still kind of understanding some of that actually. And I'm DM this stuff. And you know, Corey got me into this a long time ago and. But I just thought I was like, oh, Nathan must be off.And then, and then I just, it kind of dawned on me. Even after the show, I was like, wow, he's writing the character. Yeah, he's got this back and then.
Speaker ANow playing some part. He's a good actor.
Speaker AYeah, exactly. And he, he's not acting how Nathan feels. He's what would Stump do in the situation? And so my question is, how often do you sit around and think about what Stump would do? Do you contemplate these things?
Speaker AThat's a good question. So certain bits I do, I think about a lot. Like there might be one today, who knows? But like the thing with stumping the mouse and I think there was another thing I can't remember, but anything that like you guys could probably tell is a preplanned bit. Oh, Stump song. Obviously it was like a big pre planned thing. That kind of stuff. I do.But like when we started it and I realized we were at a magic school and there was going to be like students and stuff because I was thinking we were going to just like there's going to be like a dozen wizards in a big castle. But once I realized it was a school, I knew that Stump's background was he was raised by elves and life was hard for him being the only giant gray guy. And I just thought, well, like, well, how would Stumpp react to being at a place that was similar to his childhood? He'd probably be really insecure and he probably would start lashing out. And we also wanted to eventually get to a point where we could use the song that we were working on.
Speaker ABecause we have been thinking about that for months.
Speaker AYeah, because I had the idea that I just wanted to do some kind of musical element because I love musicals and the idea of Stump singing like a heartfelt song was so funny. And then I actually wasn't planning it to lead into that when I was doing this. Stump's insecure at school. And after the episode, Corey was like, hey, this will lead perfectly into the song, and here's how we could do it.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, that's genius.
Speaker ALet's do that. So, yeah.
Speaker AAnd because, like, when I initially I did. I did not make. Like, we'll get more into this later, too. But initially, like, I did not make that to be a wizarding school.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker AIt kind of just happened.Like, I was kind of filling some vibes out, and I was like, you know, because I had it set to be, like, a really big old temple, and, like, it's a place of, like, worship and wizards to come practice their magic. And I don't remember what it was, but something like you guys were talking about something or something happened that triggered that thought. And I was like, oh, this is now a school.
Speaker AThat's interesting.
Speaker AThis is now a school. And then I didn't even think about Stump's backstory until you started bringing all that up.And I was like, okay, maybe this worked out perfectly, and just, like, lean into that really heavy.
Speaker AThe storytelling. I'm looking at Corey, the storytelling that you provide and your, I don't know, dedication to your character.Like, Nick was saying, like, it's just a very good combination. And so it makes me like you. And, like, with Nick's character as well. Like, it makes me want to. I normally don't really. I'm.I was just talking about how I won most lazy in my senior class, and. And I'm like. I'm just, like, too lazy to come up with a backstory. But it, like, inspires me to want to actually produce.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AProduce more. Because it's, like, a really good story, and it just meshes well together.
Speaker AI do like how we didn't start this with here's this character's really long backstory. Okay. Here's the next character's really long backstory. You need to empathize with this character. You don't know instantly. We just went straight into it. And as it's going, we're figuring out who these people are.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd that's so much better of a way to do it, because once you start listening, you start asking questions like, I want to know how many Xs.
Speaker AEluite has, like, how many children.
Speaker AI want to know that, too.
Speaker AThere's so many questions about Eluite that I just, like, I need to know. And then also with Eazy, there's like, we don't know anything about Eazy's past.
Speaker AExcept I don't either.
Speaker AEazy killed a bunch of people.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd then I. Yeah. That. I had a troubled past, and I just want to make up for it. I want to live a better life.
Speaker AThat's what I got. Yeah. I think I love your character. And the ongoing joke of the crushes.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIs very funny to me.
Speaker AI'm just horn easy.
Speaker AThe horn easy.
Speaker AOccasionally pootsy.
Speaker AYeah. Sometimes he just gots to get your freak on.
Speaker ALike, I was relistening, and the episode with Sal is so good.
Speaker AThat's probably. Honestly, that's probably like, my favorite episode that I. For my character, I felt like that was a really.
Speaker AWas a very easy, heavy story.
Speaker AYeah. And I don't know, the storyline felt easy to me. I didn't feel like I was overthinking it.
Speaker AThe easy story felt easy.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah. I feel like that's the best is when it just kind of starts to flow naturally and you just kind of lean into it and just let it happen.Like, that's typically the best.
Speaker ASo you.
Speaker AYou all have definitely developed your characters, and I. It's been great for me to watch you all develop those characters and then start to see a lot of the back and forth and the.The ongoing jokes now that have kind of started to happen between some of your characters. And, like, the. The signature things.
Speaker ALike what? Like, Easy touching his leg and, like. But not. But not Eloi. Not that.
Speaker AYeah, that's.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker AIsn't that great?
Speaker AThat's so funny.
Speaker AHave you noticed that it's only when easy, like, because there's actually been a couple scenes where, like, you're like, ah, Stump, it's okay. And you pat Stump on the back,.
Speaker AAnd it's like, oh, thank you, Eloise.
Speaker AAnd then Easy.
Speaker AHe gets spooked by Easy specifically, but never you. And I've. And I've noticed that. And so I've been purposefully, like, trying to pat your leg to comfort you.
Speaker AAnd, like, when Eloise has a signature laugh, like, I almost cracks me every time. Like, I start to go into something, and you do your, like, little Eloi giggles, and it's like I had to, like, hold it together so I can keep going.
Speaker AHe's so jolly.
Speaker AYeah, I know.
Speaker AThere it is.
Speaker AGnome humor is, like, s tier in my book. I love it.
Speaker AAbsolutely. So, like I said, yeah, you develop some characters, and I feel like it's going well. And hopefully, like, our listeners, like, have really started to latch on to your characters. And I know there's still a lot of like open endedness with your characters in this world because we're still in arc one. We're still seeing a little bit of the backstory as we go. So I'd like to dive into because I want to take these like episodes by episode and kind of talk about some things, you know. And so like with session zero, when you all were creating the world.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHow much of the world that you all created are you like, oh crap, we should not have done that now without.
Speaker AWater.
Speaker ASo when after we recorded that, I honestly was like this. How could this possibly work? There's no way this could work.
Speaker ABut Corey made it happen.
Speaker AThe further we go in and like Corey, the way he's building the world with the insanity we gave him, like, I wouldn't, I wouldn't change any of it, honestly.
Speaker AOh, I wouldn't change it. Yeah.
Speaker ASo like, I mean, you know, we kind of played a game to build the world, you know, and like the very first thing was running water. Go straight up was the very first rule of the Sunday world.
Speaker ASometimes hard to remember that that's a rule.
Speaker AYeah. Yeah. Even I forget. I had to like keep catching myself to be like, oh, yeah, water goes up. And then you remember this part.
Speaker ADo we have a favorite rule? If I were to just think of one right off the top of my head, it would be that the auroras whispered government secrets or something.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker ASo you haven't seen that in its full effect yet, but you've got like glimpses of like, maybe we met Hutchinson, but it hasn't been clear that that's the reason why. But that is the first time you've seen the auroras at red.
Speaker AAnd there's something so silly. I love it.
Speaker AYeah. So what's Yalls favorite?
Speaker AFavorite.
Speaker ASo yours is Aurora.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWell, I didn't. I was like, really? We're doing cats and dogs. Like, what? Come on.
Speaker AAlso.
Speaker AAnd there's like ma coming from dog toys and animal toys, you know.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AAnd that's. But, but I, I, for me. And I didn't like it. I was like, okay. I was like, good luck, Corey, you know. Right. And because, you know, there's only so much you can do. And the way that we were given to be able to set it up, you know.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWhich I think I just, it's. It's brilliant. I think that this is an opportunity for creativity.
Speaker AAbsolutely.
Speaker ASo much other stuff in my life, it's not creative like, you know, oh, come on. And spreadsheets. And spreadsheets. Like, spreadsheets that are not acting appropriately and management and like, give me something. I can do this.Crazy. Anyway, so I just love that, you know, let's. Let's take some boundaries. Let's take something that, to me, doesn't make any sense, obviously. Right. That's kind of the point. And let's tie it together. And it's not really us, it's really Corey.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd so is it. And I. So I just think you've done beautifully putting those. I think, think the wizarding situation and helping us to identify who's worshiping who.You know, if you got the. The, you know, Rufiogo, which was your.
Speaker AWhich was your name for them.
Speaker AAnd then you have the. Yeah, right. Which. And then you have the.
Speaker AThe fringe wizards.
Speaker AThe fringe wizards with. What's her name? Eleanor. No, that's not her name.
Speaker AElephant.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker ALfl is Blue.
Speaker AThe turtle lady's name.
Speaker AAloysius.
Speaker AWho is Aloysius Is one of the boys. But it is Elantra. Is.
Speaker AShe's real cool.
Speaker AYou know, my wife was listening to the podcast, actually, and. Yay. Sorry, this is side note here, but she. She was like. I couldn't even tell that was Corey's voice. And so I think that's a lot of fun that comes from a DM too, having to play so many different characters of, like throwing some of those things around. I think my favorite voice that you have is your boy Timothy. Right? Yeah.
Speaker ATimothy Galinka.
Speaker AThat's such a good voice.
Speaker AI love him.
Speaker AHonestly.
Speaker ATimothy Clean Clay. He used to sound kind of like this.
Speaker ASorry. But the question was about the rules, so I didn't. Talking about the dogs and cats and the toys and all this stuff, so.But I really like that when we got to the wizard situation that kind of gave some grounding and the background,.
Speaker AThere's a lot of world building.
Speaker AThe wizard and the Worshipper kind of thing.
Speaker AWizard. That's a. It's a novel. The wizard and the Worshipper series I do like.
Speaker AI think it's a crazy rule that if you go through the middle of the circle, you go to your ex's world.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo I don't know.
Speaker AWe haven't. I don't know.
Speaker AWe haven't seen that.
Speaker AWe need to do that.
Speaker AAssume that'll never come up.
Speaker AUp.
Speaker AWe gotta find out. That's how we'll find out. Eloise passed.
Speaker AThat's where the final boss it could be. Yeah. And then. So some of the other. Oh, yeah, Nathan, what's your favorite? Then I'll tell some of the other remind people.
Speaker AAlso, I wanted to ask you, when we did the thing and we came up with all the ideas for the world in episode zero, did you have a moment of like, oh, God, oh, absolutely, I did. What is this?
Speaker AYeah, because. Well, kind of what Nick was saying, like, I wanted there to be constraints. That's why I designed the game at the beginning to where everything was going to be random, because it's these demigods who are trying to create a world, but they suck at it and just, like, throwing stuff against the wall. And I thought, okay, if we can just get all of these constraints on us, and then just like, all right, now we have all those constraints and all this craziness now let's just start, you know, melding it all, meshing it all together.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo at first I was like, yeah, how am I going to do this? So I just sat for, like, a couple days, just, like, going through the notes, organizing and being okay, if this, then that. If this, then that. And so eventually this.
Speaker ASo good.
Speaker AEventually came up with what I came up with now. Yeah, half of it was kind of made up on the fly while we were still going through the season.
Speaker ABut you would never. One of the things that I've learned, like, playing DND with you, is I never know what you have planned or don't have plan or when you're that good at it. And so, yeah, do you.
Speaker AMaybe you shouldn't answer this, but do you sometimes, like, have it planned one way and then halfway through you're like, now 100. I'll change it to a different.
Speaker AThe wizarding school is one of them. Like I said, yeah, that's not going to be a wizarding school. And it just happened to turn into that.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker AYeah, there's been several times, even in these episodes that we've done so far in this first arc where. Because, like, Nick knows this too, as a dungeon Master, you want the game to be fun for your players, and you want story over rules all the time.Like. Like, if it's a good story, go with the story. Forget everything else. Forget your ideas. If the story is rolling and everyone's having fun with that and it's bringing, like, cool things. Yeah, I'm gonna throw my notes out and just keep going because there's been several times that I've had things planned.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOne way. And, like, we never even got there because of what you all were doing. I was like, this is too funny. We have to keep rolling with this.
Speaker AWould you be willing to just share just one of those? I know you don't like doing that, but I would love to know just one.
Speaker AJust one of them. Let me think. Oh, the whole. When you all got to rum filled the whole like scene with the mowing dads in the back room and then trying to escape the prison guards and all that stuff. Like, I had it planned originally. Like, you weren't even going to meet the mowing dads there.
Speaker AWait, really?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker ABut halfway through that I was like, actually, it may be cool if they're here.
Speaker AThat's. That's wild. Because that felt so integral to what happened plan.
Speaker AYeah. I'm telling you, I will say the.
Speaker AOriginal idea I had was you all were going to get there and realize they had already left and see like they were going to be nowhere to be found. You were going to find some clues and you had to keep hunting.
Speaker AWe would have never had the moment of betrayal at the end of the arena.
Speaker AKrause. Devon Krause.
Speaker AAnd the big thing also is because of Krause. Devon Krause, which we'll get to him later too, was partially why I also went ahead and added them there because I wanted him to betray you all.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIn the alleyway. Because I was trying to think of something for him to do since, you know, you stole the note back and he was pissed and everything.I was like, I gotta think of something for him to get them back in.
Speaker ALike on the spot.
Speaker AOn the spot. While we were going through those mazes of the alleyways.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AIn Rumfield, I was like, okay. I know they're supposed to get like in my head while you all were like playing and stuff. I'm like, I know they're supposed to get there. There's gonna be clues. But how can I throw in Krause, Devon Krause and like bring him back for this? And that's when I was like, okay, I'll have the mom and dad's actually be there. And then, you know, hopefully, like, my idea was like, hopefully you all will convince them that you're friends. Well, and which you all did.And I was like, okay, then I'm gonna have Crossedy von Krause show up and portray everybody.
Speaker AI. I think one of the reasons I could never be a dm, I've never done it, and I don't want to do it is because, like, you would really have to, like, give up control.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou just have to be really flexible and you just have to go with the story, Because I think I would, like, put all this effort into the story, and I'd be like, why aren't.
Speaker AYou all doing one?
Speaker AOkay. I spent all this time on this. I would be. I feel like I would be frustrated by that. But you're not like that at all.
Speaker ANo, it's all about making sure everyone's having fun.
Speaker ASo I remember one of the first times I played Dungeons and Dragons was that we had a friend, Blake. It was a little off the wall. We're through, like, a significant fireball portion of. Actually, it was the second one.It was the second session we had, and we were supposed to be discovering this thing. We're right on the verge of, like, actually finding out we're looking for these red brands or something. And we got into this tavern, and he.Blake was new, and they were all there, and, like, we had found them. And Blake, real reckless player. Yeah. And he was just like. So I'm a. I'm a tiefling, and I have, like, a fire spell. And he's like, yeah. He's like, well. And he's like. And Corey had described the whole scene for us, and part of his description, he said, there's a stack of hay, you know, just like, it's like a, you know, shanty town kind of thing. And he's like, have a fire spills, like, yeah. He's like, okay. He's like, I want to shoot my fire spell at this thing of hay. And we're like, why? We're like, we just found the. We just found the guys. And he's like, okay. He's like, roll it. Roll a D20 to see how effective it is. Of course, he hits a nat 20, and it's just like. And the whole thing is up in flames, and we all had to roll to get out, you know? And, like, they all died in the fire.
Speaker AOh, God.
Speaker AThat's how he played.
Speaker AAnd so it. And so Corey had to audible to figure something else out. Like, okay, they're all dead, you guys.
Speaker ANah. What happens?
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker ABut I think that's part of the fun. That's part of the fun.
Speaker AThat's definitely part of the fun of DMing because you have to think, okay, there could be four. There could be four scenarios with everything I give you, you know? So it's like, if they choose option A, I got to pivot this way.If you choose option B, I got these couple things I can do. You just have to have a lot of stuff just in your back pocket.
Speaker AYou just have to Plan more when you play with Blake.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AKnowing that you could.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AMakes doing. Not doing it have more weight because you're not being forced into doing one thing. But it's like, hey, I could just, like, kill everybody and just ruin all of Corey's hard work and make this not fun for anybody.
Speaker AHe gave us this ultimatum. He's like, are you guys gonna skip out of this universe? Yeah. What would you have done if we were like, no, we're out.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker AOh, I guess. Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker AI don't know. That's just a thought.
Speaker AAnd I. And real quick, like, last episode, I was Cons. Seriously considering murdering one of the head wizards.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou almost killed, like, you almost headshot a kid.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd then you almost.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, that would really change the storyline, and I really had to hold back. Okay, so continue.
Speaker ANo, I had stuff planned for that too. Yeah, no, yeah, like. Yeah, exactly. Like the last couple episodes. You know, first with Finch and then with the Wizards both giving you.Or especially with Finch. Like, yeah, yeah, Least. Or made the stone for you.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou can literally leave right now. And. But so, yes, I did. I did have stuff planned. If you did. If you did choose to do that.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABecause if you remember, when you looked at the telescope, what did you see?
Speaker AThere were other Sindeos.
Speaker AThere were other sindeas. I didn't guarantee which plane or which universe you would go to. I just said you would be out of this Sandeo.
Speaker AWe could have been in the Sandeo where everybody has hot dog fingers.
Speaker AThat is true.
Speaker AOr the Ratatouille Sindeo. We could have been there.
Speaker ASo, yeah. If you all would have chosen to leave and be like, peace, Finch. See everybody. We got all these crazy people wanting to kill us.Like, when I get out of here, man, I was gonna have. I had, like, a list of, like, different scenarios.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd, like, would have had you, like, roll and see which one you ended up.
Speaker AAt which point I was listening to our podcast and they chose to just leave everything. I'd be so mad.
Speaker AWhat are you.
Speaker AI was invested in the story you were telling and why.
Speaker ALeaving everybody behind.
Speaker ABut no.
Speaker AYeah. There would have literally been no turning back if he would have.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ATaken that option.
Speaker AWould we show up at a DMV maybe? Like, what?
Speaker AAnd it's just, like, our reality and there's no fantasy.
Speaker AIt's the year 2026. So some of the other rules. Real quick, before we move on to the next episode.Just remind everybody the seasons are based on the mood of the celestial cat was. That's when we first introduced. From Tom Tugger.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AVolcano sneezing confetti.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ARule of Gravity is now a subscription service.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo which, if you all have realized, like, it hasn't even been a week that you've been in Sendeo.
Speaker AI know. That was another thing. So listening back to all the episodes, I was like, oh, my gosh, we've done so much, but it's just been good.So much we haven't done. Like, it's so big, but also it's not big at all.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd so, like, your. Your rings are still good. So, like.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou haven't had to deal with gravity too much except for the first episode. Really. Yeah. The dog God Rufiogo was a rule in the world. Volcanoes have allergies and no one knows why. The Nomo Wars.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AMagic is a multiverse situation. Don't know where it came from. Magic seeped into this world. Dog connected.
Speaker AWhat about Jeremy?
Speaker AI was gonna ask about.
Speaker AI was literally gonna ask you all what is. Is one of the rules that you have not ran into yet.
Speaker AAnd it's. It's our guy. It's your guy, Jeremy, the big bloated whale.
Speaker AYeah. And he has, like. Well, does he have. There's something that he.
Speaker ABarfs.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOh, it's. Well, barf. They make candles or something.
Speaker AIt's supposed to bring good luck.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWas that. Was that my rule? And I forgot.
Speaker AIt was Lauren. Yep.
Speaker AAnd I forgot about it.
Speaker AYep. So remember, like, I can't give. We have to, like, save room for the world still to be explored. So that's what hasn't been explored yet.So you don't know what's gonna happen.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASo that was the opening episode which kind of built this world. And then. Yeah. Episode one is when you all kind of got to get a feel for the world. That was when you got your first quest in the dmv.Who was the first wizard you met that day?
Speaker AAnd that was my first crush.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah. And you got to meet the axioms.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWork at the DMVs.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AGuys, my visual for Leester is, like, Scruffy from Futurama.
Speaker AThat's exactly what I said.
Speaker AExcept when he's in his blue robes, he's wearing blue ropes. But when we first meet.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI was like, this is Scruffy.
Speaker AThat's exactly who I based him off of. Which is so funny.
Speaker AThat's what I'm thinking, too.
Speaker AYeah. And then in that episode. Yeah. You all got a taste of the Gravity.Because you were going through the back tunnels and the gravity was kind of of kicking off, and you remember why the gravity was acting all funky.
Speaker AThere was those eye toys. Right.
Speaker AThose eye puppies.
Speaker AThose eye puppies. And then the.
Speaker AThe.
Speaker AThe dog toy that you found. Yeah, that was near them.
Speaker AYeah, that's right.
Speaker AAs you all are starting to learn now, that's probably a magical artifact.
Speaker AYeah, Right.
Speaker AAnd so it was causing the gravity, which was a precursor to where you are now, where the magic is having a hard time controlling. So season one was a little bit. Or episode one was a bit of a precursor to what was going to be happening in episode nine.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou're so smart.
Speaker AYeah. Got to throw that in there. Yeah. So any thoughts on that first episode? Do you think it was like. I don't know, like, how do you feel? Like, you. That first episode was with your characters, and it was kind of figuring things out.
Speaker AIt was really fun. It was. It was like a good start to, like, our characters interacting. Like a.The first scene we did when we met each other at the dmv and Stumpwick kissed both you guys.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAnd was just like, well, you guys.
Speaker AAre kind of cute little guys.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AOne's a dwarf and one is a halfling.
Speaker AIs that where we discovered Louis Laugh?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah, I think. I think he kissed you and you did the laugh for the first time.
Speaker AHe didn't really know what to do.
Speaker AHe kissed you, like, on top of the head, and then you did the laugh.
Speaker AIt was adorable.
Speaker AWas that. So did you have that planned, or was that like, oh, I'm gonna laugh like this?
Speaker ANo, I was like. Like, it was. It was actually like, I don't know what else to do. I don't know what else would do. I think he would just laugh. He's just.
Speaker ABut how would he laugh?
Speaker AOh, it would be just like that.
Speaker AThat's awesome.
Speaker AThat.
Speaker AThat came from. That. From improv. That's cool.
Speaker AWell done.
Speaker AWell, thank you. Yeah.
Speaker AWell, yeah. And that's also where your characters first, like, had that little bit of a Recognizing somebody in the dmv.
Speaker AWe had to tell a little bit about our history and.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHow we got. We got there. What we remembered last.
Speaker AOur people. Like. But the only one that we've really encountered that is actually remembered is you. Like, Right.
Speaker ANo, there was also blazer.
Speaker ABlazer.
Speaker ABlazer for you.
Speaker AA blazer remembered what happened to him with Stomp.
Speaker AThe only. The only glimpse you got was during Malnag's side quests. You got a glimpse of some of the people you murdered.
Speaker ABut they were like, not real.
Speaker ARight, okay.
Speaker ACorrect.
Speaker AThey were trampled.
Speaker AAll that was a simulation.
Speaker AThat is true.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd you. You also got paid your first bit of money during that first episode and. Yeah, so I think that was a great episode. Kind of like a little.I wanted it to be an easy starter quest. That one kind of showed off the. The laws of the world.
Speaker AYeah. And it was nice because we were in a building, so it wasn't like, okay, you guys start in this big open world. Which way do you go?It was like a nice little. It's kind of like a video game. We started in the tutorial zone.
Speaker AAbsolutely.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker ATutorial zone. And then we ended that episode with the doors opening. You see the great vast Zendaya.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ALights out.
Speaker AWe had our breath of the wild moment. We were up on the cliff and we were like, oh, okay, we can go anywhere.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAlso, I don't think I had a grab. If I remember correctly. I didn't have a gravity ring.
Speaker AYou did not purchase one. Correct.
Speaker ASo I was on. I was on a leash.
Speaker AYeah, we had you like a balloon.
Speaker AYou were a balloon. Yes.
Speaker AThat second episode. Yeah, the second episode. They had to tether you and then you kind of got to. To see the like overgrown lush grass and nothing really being cut. And.Yeah. Episode two was called Modads Mo Problems.
Speaker AIt's true.
Speaker AYes. Your first time seeing the world of Sendo as your characters. Also the first time we kind of got to see Stump just kind of go willy nilly with things saying, yeah, like, you're not supposed to cut the grass. You're like, I'm gonna cut the grass.
Speaker ASo that was a part of like, like, cuz in my head I was like, one, I was trying to follow Stump, and two, I was trying to like, encourage story elements to become relevant and progress things. But I was like, so worried that you guys were going to be like, oh my God, Nathan is just.
Speaker AWhat are you doing?
Speaker ASabotaging everything.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou were playing your character.
Speaker AOkay, I'm glad.
Speaker ABut that's good.
Speaker AWhen we first started, you know, like, we were all still getting to know each other and I was like, there's a part of me that was like, oh, man, I hope they're not just.
Speaker ALike, like, I'm so pissed.
Speaker AWhat did we sign up for? Getting this guy on.
Speaker AYeah. And then do you remember who you met shortly after in that, like, do you remember who you met in that episode? There was kind of a lot that actually happened in episode two.
Speaker AOkay.I do Want to say theoretically, if someone, I don't know who could have prepared like let's say a pop quiz, a lot of this stuff might be answers on there.
Speaker AOkay. On that quiz, I see that that means like, okay, we've been pretty good. It's like now. I think now it's time for a special segment on the show.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AIs there a podcast? I think so. Before we dive deeper into the world, we have a special segment and I'm going to play some music right here.
Speaker AWell, I wanted to keep this on the down low of Corey, of course now. But I got Stump.
Speaker AOh, Stump gonna be here with us.
Speaker AI got Stump really hard. He does not read his email, but I got him on the phone. He has email and he wants to be on the show.
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker AAnd I can't do a great Stump impression, but he was like, oh, yeah,.
Speaker AI do it in stuff.
Speaker ASo he's actually waiting outside right now.
Speaker AOh, my gosh.
Speaker ABring him in.
Speaker AI got a text that there's like an armadillo in my backyard. So I'm gonna go grab Stump, send him in here. Go take care of that. That and then I'll be right back.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI can't find you that armadillo.
Speaker AOh, and one more thing. No matter what happens, under no circumstances do not let Stump know that he's just a character on our podcast. It will destroy him if he finds out.
Speaker AOh, it's like. It's like a Buzz Lightyear type of situation.
Speaker AI'll be right back.
Speaker AIt'll be okay. Bye, Nathan.
Speaker AJust don't win.
Speaker AOh, hey.
Speaker ASo he goes that way.
Speaker AYeah, I think he had to go.
Speaker ATo the bathroom or something over here and sit here.
Speaker AOh, yeah, you can have his seat. It's right there.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AWelcome. Welcome to the show.
Speaker AStump, do you have bigger headphones?
Speaker AYeah. Let me put two of them together.
Speaker AEasy on that chair, bro.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AWelcome to the party.
Speaker AHello.
Speaker AIt's stuff. Evidently.
Speaker AThere he is.
Speaker AThe double headphones.
Speaker AHey, have you seen Easy or E?
Speaker AThey are hanging out in the van.
Speaker AI kind of. I kind of sound like her, but don't be confused.
Speaker AI was going to say, are you related to Easy?
Speaker ACould I? Could be. Yeah.
Speaker AThat's crazy. You actually sound like. Exactly, exactly. It's kind of creepy.
Speaker AIt's pretty weird.
Speaker ABut yeah. Nathan, he pick us up in his van and stop like vans. Very loud. Go fast. Yeah.
Speaker AWhat a surprise this is.
Speaker ANathan asked me to be here and to do to. He wants me to pop the quiz.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AJust pop away.
Speaker AWell, my name Is Nick. Nice to meet you.
Speaker AHi, Nick. It is nice to meet you.
Speaker AAnd can I ask you a question?
Speaker AOh, sure.
Speaker AWhen's the last time you took a shower? Oh, he's sitting right next to me, and I just wondered.
Speaker AHe's just.
Speaker AWell, you know, these showers in Tsinteo, they go up and stuff. He's very good at going down that. Maybe.
Speaker AI wasn't gonna do anything.
Speaker ATo.
Speaker ABrag, but, yes, this is the case.
Speaker AOkay. Very good.
Speaker AOkay. Welcome.
Speaker AGreat to have you in here.
Speaker AYeah, absolutely. I'm excited for this. Top of the quiz.
Speaker ASure. Should we start the quiz?
Speaker AI think so.
Speaker AYeah, let's do it.
Speaker ASo stop curious, though. Like, what is this podcast? It is like.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker AOh, yeah, it is.
Speaker AIs it like fishing? No, you get the part and you cast it and you catch.
Speaker ANo, that was the one we used to do. We changed this one up. This one just like to hang out and tell stories.
Speaker AOh, you tell story. Okay, that sounds good.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AStorytelling.
Speaker ANathan leaves this beer behind. You think Stump could have it?
Speaker AI think you should be good.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAll right. Nobody tells.
Speaker ASave some for Eloie then.
Speaker AOkay, you. Now you need another one or one sip, it's gone.
Speaker AHe's a good, good beginner. Good starter. Yes.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AOkay, so Stump have questions here? Yes.
Speaker AAsk away, Stump.
Speaker ADo you mind if I just listen and let these two answer? Oh, boy.
Speaker ASo Nathan tells Dump that D1. You are Corey.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AHe said you probably would have unfair advantage.
Speaker AOkay, cool, cool.
Speaker AHe said he thought it would be funny if you just destroyed the other two.
Speaker AWe're going to be put on the spot. Did you know we were going to be put on the spot here?
Speaker ALauren has a horrible memory and.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AAnd so you'll. You'll do fine.
Speaker AI don't remember details very well. Okay, let's see how we can do this.
Speaker AI can. I know quote to. To Billy Madison pretty well. And that's all.
Speaker AThat's all I can remember.
Speaker AStrong barbarian. Yeah,.
Speaker AHe sounds strong. Good name. So would you like to be on the team or play against each other?
Speaker AObviously against each other.
Speaker AAgainst each other. Okay. That is correct. If you had said you want to be on the team, you would have been wrong. That is the first question.
Speaker ASo I think we nailed it.
Speaker AYou each get one point.
Speaker AThank you,.
Speaker APeople that aren't here.
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker ACory's good at that. He's got some.
Speaker AOh, is this magic?
Speaker AKind of a. Yeah, I've been practicing my magic.
Speaker AOh, very good. He's good magic.
Speaker AYou do your fingers like this.
Speaker AOkay, so Next question then.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AWhat were the names of the three DMV adventurers the party meets on the Crash Bridge?
Speaker AGrass bridge.
Speaker AI remember them. But Curtis.
Speaker AWow. I was gonna go with Steve.
Speaker AThat's always the. It's always there.
Speaker AAnd Penelope.
Speaker ANo, no, we have used those names quite a bit, I feel. Or Penelope quite a bit. I'm going. I'm going with Curtis. Final answer.
Speaker AI'm gonna go with Marcus.
Speaker AMarcus and Curtis.
Speaker AAnd Dan.
Speaker AMarcus, Marcus, Curtis and Dan. This is not correct.
Speaker AOr Jorge.
Speaker ADoes Corey know the answer?
Speaker AHe's looking at his notes.
Speaker ANo. Magical.
Speaker AOut in close your computer competition.
Speaker AI'm gonna be completely honest. I made those names up on the spot and I never. So no, I do not know.
Speaker AI remember meeting this.
Speaker AYes, I do too. Because that was the first time he.
Speaker AReally stepped in it and they were upset. They were upset because this one.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ASo you make these names up?
Speaker AI did make the names though.
Speaker AWhat were you their father?
Speaker AOh, I mean actually I just. It's been a while since I've seen them so I just kind of forget their names.
Speaker AOh, okay. Yeah, yeah, stop think maybe with their father or something. All right, stop.
Speaker AHe made the names.
Speaker AOkay, well, nobody got that one. That's okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker AStump doesn't know either.
Speaker AWell, Stump knows because he has answer on this magic tablet that Nathan gave you.
Speaker AOh, good.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ATheir names were Cotton Eye Joe.
Speaker AOh, how can we.
Speaker AWhere? Cuz I said where do you come or where you go? I think Louie said where do you come from?
Speaker ASo funny.
Speaker ATimothy and Frank Fartech.
Speaker ATimothy.
Speaker AOh, there's is it another couple Timothy?
Speaker AYeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker ATimothy II and Frankfurt.
Speaker AWow, I completely forgot about Cotton.
Speaker AI. Joe Nyjo is very good name to start.
Speaker AThat was a whole thing. Yeah.
Speaker AWow. Good start everybody.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AOkay, one for one.
Speaker ANext question. How long is Eloise beard?
Speaker AYou should know.
Speaker AI mean Eloise should know this.
Speaker ASix feet long and he's only four feet tall.
Speaker AThat is correct.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AWhy that's unfair.
Speaker AYou must know Eluiten.
Speaker AI know Elui very well.
Speaker AOh wow. It's good. He has never brought up anyone way back, but. Oh wow. Stump don't know too much about this past, so. Yeah, this makes sense.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOkay, next question. Huh? Okay. What was the weapon of mass destruction?
Speaker AThe mower worth one voucher or two vouchers?
Speaker AFive vouchers.
Speaker AIt was two vouchers. You are correct.
Speaker AI was like. Because I was world pissed that it wasn't more.
Speaker AStop. Still think it's ridiculous that weapon of.
Speaker AMass.
Speaker AI not being pretty upset about that actually.
Speaker AOkay, crazy tied two to two.
Speaker AOkay, another question. Well, maybe stomp. Skip that one. It look really hard.
Speaker AOh, really?
Speaker AWe come back to that?
Speaker AAre you sure?
Speaker ACome back to it.
Speaker AThat could be a final one.
Speaker ATry one.
Speaker AOkay. What were the names of the weapons that the anomalies got shot for the arena?
Speaker AThe short sword.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AOh, yeah. One everywhere.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThere was a fecal cone.
Speaker ADid I. You had the shark. I had the short.
Speaker ANo, I did.
Speaker AYou had the sharks.
Speaker AOf course I did.
Speaker AOh, I had the chainsaw sword.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AYou get another one.
Speaker AYes. There's only one weapon left. It was the one Stump got. What?
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker ABut he would never got. He ran to boxes or something.
Speaker AHe never got to use it.
Speaker AYeah, it was a.
Speaker AWhat was it?
Speaker AFull arm. You know, Corey.
Speaker AOh, I know this one. Yeah.
Speaker AOh, oh.
Speaker AMaybe Stump could give clue you. You can't see, but Stump is now pointing finger is a gun. And he go with finger laser gun.
Speaker AOh, in corporate office and. Hiya, pal.
Speaker AStaple gun gun.
Speaker ANo, finger. Finger gun.
Speaker AOh, that's right.
Speaker AYeah, you got it.
Speaker AWow, the rings of finger guns.
Speaker AYes, it was ring of finger guns. The short sword and the chainsaw sword.
Speaker AAh, yeah.
Speaker ASo does that mean I get the point and he doesn't?
Speaker AWell, he got chainsaw, but I get two points.
Speaker AYou got shark. You did get finger guns.
Speaker AThat's like good way to do it is you get two points. You get one.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOkay. That one work.
Speaker AThat makes sense to Stump. Okay, next question. Oh, this is probably the hardest question. We'll see what comes after 137.
Speaker A29, 138.
Speaker AI remember.
Speaker AI remember this scene.
Speaker ACory, Cory, do you know what comes after 137?
Speaker AI just remember I was laughing so hard when he did this. Because you're having all of the.
Speaker AThe.
Speaker AThe volcano stuff.
Speaker AThe.
Speaker AThe confetti.
Speaker AConfetti.
Speaker AThank you. Yeah, because he was like, guys, guys, what comes after 137?
Speaker AAnd then he forgotten started back over or something.
Speaker AShoot.
Speaker AAh, crap.
Speaker AWhat did you.
Speaker AIt was confetti. Stump hat.
Speaker AYou forgot. So it's number one.
Speaker AAh, I don't remember what the answer was. I was laughing too much.
Speaker APurple.
Speaker AOh, do you guys give up?
Speaker AUp? My answer is purple.
Speaker AThe answer is nobody knows.
Speaker ANobody knows.
Speaker ABecause you kept asking.
Speaker AYou're like, nobody knows to know the answer.
Speaker ADang it.
Speaker AVery good question.
Speaker ANobody answered himself. Nobody knows.
Speaker AOkay, ready for next one?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AI love these.
Speaker AWhat race is Mayor Tinselwick?
Speaker AOh, he was a. He was a What's It's.
Speaker AIt is an incorrect.
Speaker AI can't think.
Speaker ADwarf. Gnome.
Speaker AAlso incorrect.
Speaker AWhat was he? He had a small head.
Speaker AIt's true. He has small head and even smaller hat on his head.
Speaker ANot gnome.
Speaker ANo, nothing.
Speaker AAnd he wasn't human.
Speaker AProbably won't.
Speaker AWas he human? Did you already say that?
Speaker AWell, yes, but that is not the answer. He is a heavyset man.
Speaker AOh, I do have man on here. Okay. I thought I changed his mouth.
Speaker AEasy.
Speaker ADid you say human and he was heavy.
Speaker AI did say human man.
Speaker AYes, he is human, but that's not the answer.
Speaker ASorry.
Speaker AAnswer is heavy.
Speaker AHeavyset man. Yeah, I have it in my notes. A short, stout man.
Speaker AOkay, so there's just a few more here.
Speaker AI'm gonna get this. I'm in the lead so far. I think.
Speaker ADon't feel like you guys will do good on this one.
Speaker AI hope so.
Speaker AWhat is the name of Easy's horse?
Speaker APenelope.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AWhat else?
Speaker AIt's exactly.
Speaker AYes. Thank you.
Speaker AJeremy.
Speaker AThat's correct.
Speaker ACorey, do you know.
Speaker ASamuel?
Speaker AI was gonna say Samuel.
Speaker ASamuel.
Speaker AIt's also Penelope. It's also Jeremy.
Speaker ACarl.
Speaker AIt's also Carl. That is correct.
Speaker AOh, Franklin.
Speaker AYes, that is right. Yes.
Speaker AAlso Donald.
Speaker AI'm nailing it. How many points is that, Michael?
Speaker AOh, that's like five points.
Speaker AI get. I get most points for the actual name.
Speaker ADon't forget about LaFonda.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AThese names were not.
Speaker AOh, Nacho was another name.
Speaker AYes, yes. And Eugene.
Speaker AAnd then also double sided tape. That was a good one.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI'm really. I'm really confused. And I want to win this game.
Speaker AI think it was sunkissed.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AIt's because no one can remember the name.
Speaker AThat's why.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AHorse of many names.
Speaker AHorse with many names.
Speaker AExactly.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AWhat could not remember.
Speaker AIt's okay. Stop. Have trouble remembering lots of things. If he didn't have this magic tablet, it probably wouldn't be so easy for Stump. What was the name of the allergy medicine that helps prevent sneezing caused by volcano confetti?
Speaker ANo blow.
Speaker ANo, it was not. No blow.
Speaker AAntish.
Speaker AThat is good one, but no.
Speaker AOh, it was. Did we do a commercial on it?
Speaker AYeah, we did.
Speaker AIt was Nachu.
Speaker AOh, my gosh. Why can't I remember this? I even wrote the dang commercial. Or. No, we all wrote that commercial together.
Speaker AOkay, give us a letter in the. Give us the second letter.
Speaker ADon't. Never knew that we had writers for commercials. This is.
Speaker AOh, I mean, this is great.
Speaker AAnd it makes Sense, though, because it's.
Speaker ALike we get the script and stumps.
Speaker ALike, where'd this come from? I guess it was always here, but now.
Speaker AStop.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AGod.
Speaker ACan you give us the second letter of the answer?
Speaker AThe second letter?
Speaker AYeah, the second blow. No.
Speaker AMan, we are having a hard time remembering our own show's trivia.
Speaker AOh, it's a sneeze medicine. And so it has to do with something with.
Speaker AI was thinking gravities. That's what I was thinking. Ease. Okay.
Speaker AGravities.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ADon't remember gravities.
Speaker AE. L. L. Was it aller?
Speaker AOh, you're so close. Holy cow.
Speaker AWhat was the last letter?
Speaker AAller.
Speaker AAller. And then you say it.
Speaker AE. No, you said Y.
Speaker AIt end with Y. Yeah, Aller.
Speaker AAllergy.
Speaker AAllergies.
Speaker ASo close. Okay, it. You want enter.
Speaker AGosh, I can't.
Speaker AWe're giving this second to the last letter.
Speaker ANick's not gonna give up.
Speaker AOh. Oh, my God. The whole time.
Speaker AThat was one of my next guests.
Speaker AThat is correct. But don't want to give you points, honestly.
Speaker ANo, no, we don't.
Speaker AWe don't deserve it.
Speaker AIt's a show where the points don't matter.
Speaker AOkay, so this next one is kind of like a three parter.
Speaker AOh, my goodness.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker AWhat is the name of the Rufiogo loyalists? Leader.
Speaker AAh, I said that earlier.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AElantra.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AClose.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AElena. Eloise.
Speaker AElvira.
Speaker AOh, my gosh, Myra. You literally said this word earlier. I. I know this one. Finally.
Speaker ASo there's Felix and then there's Ella. Alon. You said Elantra.
Speaker AThat's the other one.
Speaker AOkay, so next question you got right already. So you get the point.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ABut there's more to next question.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AOh, but yes. Alantra is the leader of the fringe.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AWho is leader of Rufio loyalists. And who is leader of the rum Tom Tugger loyalists?
Speaker AThe old douchebag.
Speaker AStop. Don't like him. He's very. Yeah, Felix can go. He can suck a brick, kid. But what is Ruf. Yogo? Leader.
Speaker AOkay. Elantra is Felix, and it's another kind of flourishy word.
Speaker AYou work close because you say ella.
Speaker AThat's what it starts with.
Speaker AElla, Ella, Ella, Ella. What is the answer?
Speaker AElantra.
Speaker AStump to tell you.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AOkay, answer is elephant. You're really close, and you get the other two, so that is very.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWho. He gets one point. I get one point.
Speaker AWhat's the purdy lady's name? Oh, you remember that,.
Speaker AStump.
Speaker AThink you both should get two points because you Both get.
Speaker AOkay, so I'm still ahead.
Speaker AStomp could tell both of you now, right?
Speaker ANo, I got. I got one you didn't get for bonus point.
Speaker AOh, bonus points.
Speaker AWhat was on top of Ell's staff?
Speaker ACrap.
Speaker AEach.
Speaker AThere was not crap on top of.
Speaker AThe each magic person. They have special magic item.
Speaker AMushroom.
Speaker AStump want to know which each one is on El. So we can start with El. But Stump also want to know.
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AThe others.
Speaker AA seashell.
Speaker ANo, no, not seashell.
Speaker ANo. A snail shell. No, no.
Speaker AA shell is the elf.
Speaker AElla the elf.
Speaker AA tree had a plan.
Speaker ATheir leader of Rufioko.
Speaker AAnd this was the part where dog toys.
Speaker AYes, it is a dog toy. Do you know what kind?
Speaker ABone.
Speaker AOh, no, not bone.
Speaker AWhy would it not be a bone?
Speaker ACory?
Speaker AWhy would it not be?
Speaker AWhen I was. When I was introducing all of the wizards to you, all I meant to mentioned what exact specific toys they have so on.
Speaker ALfl is the dog and it is a. How could it not be a rope?
Speaker AEllis has a staff, if that helps you out.
Speaker AYeah, it's on top of staff.
Speaker ADefinitely a ball. Duh.
Speaker AYes, that's right.
Speaker AOh, how could it not be a ball?
Speaker AIt is a squeaky ball. Good job. Now, the leader of the fringe, Elantra.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ATurtle.
Speaker AWhat did they have on their shell? They have lots of these shells. We're on the shell.
Speaker AShell's on the shell. Fish bones. Tortoise.
Speaker ATortoise shell.
Speaker ANo, no, no.
Speaker AIt can't be. It's not a toy. It's a mouse. It's a different toy. It's a Canadian bird toy.
Speaker AWhat'd you say?
Speaker AMouse toy.
Speaker AYes. Mouse on a string. Good job. Good job.
Speaker AGood job, Nicholas.
Speaker AOkay, so this next one, it was also a type of mouse on. But do you know what it was, how it was worn?
Speaker AIt was worn on his beard.
Speaker ANope.
Speaker AAround his neck.
Speaker AYes, sure, around the neck. And what do you call it when you have a thing around your necklace? That's right. It was a good necklace.
Speaker AThey're back.
Speaker AWhat? Oh, it's magic size. Don't forget. Okay. All right. So. So two. We just have two more.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AThis one is extra hard. You know what? Let's maybe do this one last.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ACuz it's so hard.
Speaker AWe're doing really good so far.
Speaker AAll right. Stump heavy.
Speaker ANot bad, actually.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah. You guys doing great. Nathan said you would do way worse than this.
Speaker ANathan? We could talk to him when he gets back in here.
Speaker AHe's kind of annoying.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AHe's just like.
Speaker AWe Just stay here anyway.
Speaker ALet him leave and you can stay hang out with.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThis Stump like this idea. Stump think he'd be way better.
Speaker AWell, you gotta get back out there in Sendayo.
Speaker AYeah, it's true. Stump have things to do, Louie.
Speaker AAnd he would miss you.
Speaker AYes, yes.
Speaker AEasy.
Speaker AGotta get back to the van.
Speaker AAll right, give it to us. What's the.
Speaker AThe van does not have ac. So I'm worried. Oh, no, but the music's on and it's their favorite song, so they are listening to it.
Speaker AFree bird.
Speaker AWhat is this? All birds are free.
Speaker AOh, okay.
Speaker AWhat? Okay, Stump have riddle.
Speaker AOh, oh boy.
Speaker AReady?
Speaker AI like riddles.
Speaker AI don't, but I think this will be fine.
Speaker AOkay. So Stump usually he say stomp, but for this stop going to just read the riddle the way it is.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI make you happy, I make you smile. I ward off hunger for a while. I have no heart, I have no soul. If you push me, I will roll. What am I?
Speaker ASay it again, please.
Speaker AOf course. I make you happy, I make you smile. I ward off hunger for a while. I have no heart, I have no soul if you push me.
Speaker ADang it.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AI saw your eyes light up like.
Speaker AThe moment you thought of it too.
Speaker AHey, good job.
Speaker AThat is correct.
Speaker AIt is donut.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ABecause I was like. Oh, Stump is saying this. Of course.
Speaker APersonal questions.
Speaker AOh, of course. Stump already like you.
Speaker ADo you like donuts?
Speaker AOh, donuts are the best. But it is crazy because Stump, where he come from? Whole planet is donut, but nobody knows what donut is. Really annoying.Stump hopes one day he find donut on donut World.
Speaker ABut oh my gosh, I'm not quite.
Speaker ASure how you got here. But we do have donuts here in this world.
Speaker AI know. Nathan took me through. You have a great donut place.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AYeah. Yes, Stop get many donuts and probably get more before you go back there.
Speaker AYou go home to the people that there in San and share them out.
Speaker AI can show it to them.
Speaker AEspecially if they don't know what they are.
Speaker AYeah, I can stop telling them to imagine an apple confused.
Speaker AYes, I remember that.
Speaker AOkay, here is the last question and also hardest question ever.
Speaker AProbably not created of all time.
Speaker AOkay, can you name all the dads?
Speaker AYes. Timothy.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ABruce.
Speaker AYes. You have to do both names.
Speaker AClean cut.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker ABruce Halfacre.
Speaker AYes, that's right. There's more. Do you want to know how many?
Speaker AOh gosh, is there like five?
Speaker AThere are seven.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AOh, crap.
Speaker AWell, okay. You know, we have These Lonnie. Oh, yeah.
Speaker AOh, our character's Lon Jovi.
Speaker AStump miscount.
Speaker AThere are six.
Speaker AOh. Oh, Stump who? Stump don't know these people.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker AIf they're from a different story that.
Speaker AYou guys like to talk about, Stump don't know them, so. Exactly.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker ABruce Halfacre.
Speaker AOne.
Speaker AWell, I. I said that. And then tempting the two. I get those points.
Speaker AI said.
Speaker AI said them.
Speaker AThere are four. Four more Deads that had names.
Speaker AThere is definitely.
Speaker ASamuel.
Speaker AKid Rock. Not Kid Rock.
Speaker AThey love. They love him.
Speaker AThat sounds kind of like Man Jazz, man.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAre they similar? Oh, yeah.
Speaker AOh, man. Man Jazz.
Speaker AStump's not the fan of Man Jazz's.
Speaker AMusic, but there's another one he had a couple interactions with, so.
Speaker AI know Ed.
Speaker ANo, we have Brute, we have Bruce, and we have Timothy. Those are the ones we found later so that we know them because we.
Speaker AWell, we met them and then we. Solomon again.
Speaker ADan, this is very hard question.
Speaker AYour side quest characters met one of them.
Speaker AOh, a side quest.
Speaker AOh. Oh, God. Bruce Halfacre. Just kidding.
Speaker AWe've already said that.
Speaker AOkay, this one's tough.
Speaker AThere's one. I think he will get. The other three I doubt they're gonna get.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIs this question very hard?
Speaker AThis is for all of our, like, diehard fans out there.
Speaker AGary. Gary is definitely one.
Speaker AKevin. Are we just saying our dad's name?
Speaker AKevin.
Speaker AYes, yes. Oh, Kevin. But do you know Kevin's last name?
Speaker ADuh.
Speaker ABielberg, Probably.
Speaker AWell, you want the clue?
Speaker AYeah, the.
Speaker AThe last names are, like, has to do with gardening.
Speaker AI know. I know that.
Speaker AOh, yeah, yeah.
Speaker ABut I can't. I know that, but I can't think of.
Speaker AIt's very hard.
Speaker AOh, Kevin Tree Whacker.
Speaker AThat sounds kind of.
Speaker AThat's his name.
Speaker AThat's what you said. No, we're struggling bad.
Speaker AWe're struggling.
Speaker AYeah. This really hard. Hey, you guys get two?
Speaker ATwo out of seven's pretty good.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AStump think you do. Very good.
Speaker AYay. Thank you, Stump.
Speaker ACorey, do you know how many do you know?
Speaker AYou're looking at your notes.
Speaker AI have way more than six because there are some you still haven't met yet. But the six that they have all met was Bruce Halfacre, Timothy Clean Cut, Carl Greenwell.
Speaker ACarl. I said Carl. No, that was about the horse's name.
Speaker AMike. Mike Turfson.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AKevin.
Speaker AMike Turpson.
Speaker AYeah. Kevin Mulch and Alan Sodwick.
Speaker AYes. Well, on magic tablet, Stump did not have Carl. He had Derek Lanfall.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AOh, yes.
Speaker ASorry. Derek is also one that was at the place Stump.
Speaker ARemember Carl now. So Magic Tablet forget one. Whoopsie.
Speaker ABut Carl was the one who the.
Speaker AOther guys met in side quest as well. Yeah.
Speaker ASee there are so many dads. Not even Magic Tablet.
Speaker ANo many dads.
Speaker AOnly so many dads.
Speaker AThis Corey person who is extensive magical.
Speaker AKnowledge of all things Zed Flanders.
Speaker AI mean I know 13 dads for sure.
Speaker AThat's perv. Unbelievable. Do you know Hutchins?
Speaker AHe likes mouths.
Speaker AYes, I have met Hutchinson a couple times.
Speaker AOh my good. You must be wizard.
Speaker AI. I have been wizard before.
Speaker ACould you help us? We're trying to get three magical items. Do you know where they are? Yeah. Could you maybe like just point us in the right direction?
Speaker AI think. Here's what I can do. I can tell you where they are. But I'm going to first tell you a very very long story.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker ASo if you're. If you're down to sit and listen to a long story. Stop. Love story over like probably another year year. Then you'll find out where they are.
Speaker AWell, it's not like story but the year sounds really long time.
Speaker AIt does sound.
Speaker AMaybe we'll take it.
Speaker AHow about you come every other week and I'll tell you a little bit more of that story? Yeah, you just come every other week.I'll tell you a couple hours, we'll talk about the story, you'll learn more about it and then eventually you'll get there.
Speaker AThis is great. Well, stop. Had a really good time here.
Speaker AHey, thank you for stopping by.
Speaker AIt's actually really nice to meet you and person.
Speaker AThat's nice. Everybody smell really good here.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker AIt's kind of crazy. And also all of your water go down.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI was going to say it's cuz the water flow.
Speaker AThe water.
Speaker AYou know.
Speaker AIt's great when we pee here, we don't hit ourselves in the face.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd see Stomp. Okay. Everybody else is like it's not a big deal. But Stomp gets really sick of that. Like Elo told me he said ah. I kind of like it so.
Speaker AOh my.
Speaker AGod.
Speaker AI remember that when it first comes out.
Speaker ADo you know Elu too?
Speaker AI do.
Speaker AYou guys know so many things about me and my friends. It's kind of creepy.
Speaker AWell, you're kind of getting famous out there.
Speaker AWe just hear lots of stories about you.
Speaker AThat's true. We are the anomalies.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AWe're pretty important.
Speaker AOh, you're the anomalies. I should. I should go.
Speaker AOh, so many people do that. It's weird. Okay, well, you know, stubble, get out.
Speaker AOf your hair and hit the old dusty chair.
Speaker AThe old dusty trail, as in the old stinky van.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ASuper nice to meet you. Yes.
Speaker AYou guys are great.
Speaker AAnd it's. It's good.
Speaker AOw.
Speaker AOkay. All right. That's a pretty firm handshake. No problem.
Speaker ASorry about that, squeezy, big guy. But, yes, it's good to meet you, person. That sounds exactly like easy in a way that it is kind of creeping.
Speaker AStomp out a little bit, but sorry.
Speaker AAnd to Magic Man Corey.
Speaker ABye, Stump.
Speaker ABye, Stump. Thanks for hanging out.
Speaker AGoodbye, Stump. Go now.
Speaker AOh, there goes. Stump was such a nice guy.
Speaker AHi.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AYeah, he is. Oh, hey, Nathan.
Speaker AHey, guys.
Speaker AHey. Welcome back, man.
Speaker ASo how did Ghost? He looked really, really happy, like he had a good time.
Speaker AYeah, it was. It was really good. He had a lot of fun.
Speaker AYou gotta tell that guy about hygiene. Yeah, he needs to take a shower.
Speaker AWe know where he's from. It's kind of our fault that we made the water go up, so. Yeah, can't really blame him. Okay, so I'm glad that everything went good with Stump.I do want to say, though, I would like to send a message out to, I guess, just like, law enforcement in general or the people that make laws. If you're gonna make a law, you need to. People need to know about the law.Because I don't think it's fair that, like, how am I supposed to know you can't sit on an armadillo like people. Okay, so is that a law? Well, at the time, yes, apparently. And at the time, the armadillo looked very sturdy. And, you know, and then there's cops at my door. It's a whole mess. I'm still sorting it out.
Speaker AYou sat on the armadillo or someone else? I'm confused.
Speaker AI sat on the armadillo.
Speaker AWhat possessed.
Speaker AIt looked really sturdy.
Speaker AYeah, well, it's a good thing you sat on it instead of Stump.
Speaker AThere should be, like, signs that say,.
Speaker ADon't sit on the armadillo.
Speaker ADon't sit on armadillo.
Speaker AMe?
Speaker AI think it's. I think this country's sick. That's what I think.
Speaker AI'm so sorry, buddy.
Speaker AThat is a serious conundrum, though, that you like.
Speaker AWell, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that.
Speaker AYeah, and they're. I have to pay, like, so much money. It's insane.
Speaker ABrutal.
Speaker ADidn't.
Speaker ASo. I really hope this podcast does well.
Speaker AHate to break it to you, bud, but you're going to jail.
Speaker AYou going to jail.
Speaker AWhat are you in for? Sat on Armadillo loitering.
Speaker AWell, I mean, at least we got to hang out with Stump. Sorry.
Speaker AI'm glad things went well.
Speaker ASorry.
Speaker AHe had there.
Speaker AHe had a huge grin on his face, so.
Speaker AWell, welcome back. Should probably.
Speaker AHappy to be back.
Speaker AYeah, probably shouldn't.
Speaker AHe asked us some tough questions.
Speaker AStrange guy.
Speaker ADid he?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI told him you guys were going to ace it. That you guys were going to know every answer.
Speaker AI was like, these.
Speaker AThese are my best friends. They're so smart.
Speaker ASmart.
Speaker AOh, that's what I told him. Yeah.
Speaker AI love that you have confidence in us.
Speaker AOf course.
Speaker AYeah, exactly.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ASweet. So that was fun. I mean, I like getting a visit. Yeah. So kind of diving back into our wonderful world that we have all created with each other. I mean.Yeah. After you, you know, you found out about the mowing dads.Cause all those issues, you finally got your first place of residence over in Tumbille, which you literally spent a morning at that. And so you never really even got to spend like a full night in your place.
Speaker AThat's so funny, because that's another thing I was thinking about when I was listening back was we left our home and like, we still haven't gone back.
Speaker AGone back. Yeah. And that kind of surprised me that no one had really gone back to it yet. But at the same time, also, it's like, oh, stuff is happening. We want to keep moving, you know.
Speaker AWell, Stump broke the bed. So, like.
Speaker AOh, her name was Penelope there.
Speaker AEverybody. Everybody.
Speaker AThere's probably like a giant donkey.
Speaker ADonkey.
Speaker AThere's like a big package on the doorstep. That's the replacement bed. It's just.
Speaker AJust sitting there.
Speaker ANo one's claimed it.
Speaker AProbably.
Speaker APorch pir.
Speaker AHe would be. He would.
Speaker ASo you had that house, you know, you got to finally take your first fast travel with the. The water tunnel.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThe water tubes that the DMV provides. You got to do that a couple times and kind of experience that part of the world. And then kind of what happened after that? Yeah. Then basically, you know, you found your ways over to the magistrate, Lord Floof in Rumfield and kind of learned a little bit about how that kind of goes.
Speaker AI also liked his voice.
Speaker AI love Lord Floof.
Speaker AHe was pretty great. And. And then. Yeah.
Speaker AWell, the house is where we met Kraus Devon.
Speaker AYeah, the house is. We met.
Speaker AAnd then he. He went out and then we tried to chase him down. And that's when we met his.
Speaker AHis grandma.
Speaker AGrandma also quote, unquote, Grandma. Very confused.
Speaker AGrandma.
Speaker AGirlfriend thought it was my grandma. No, my s. Everybody is Penelope and.
Speaker AEverybody is your grandma.
Speaker AYeah, and then. But then also you thought the malag was my grandma. Yeah, she is.
Speaker AEveryone's your grandma.
Speaker ANever.
Speaker AMy gosh.
Speaker AMy favor about Kraus, Devon Kraus, is that he only enters and exits through windows. He's like a window goblin.
Speaker AYeah, that's where he showed up.
Speaker AThat's funny.
Speaker AOh, you were like. I remember that now because you're like. Window person.
Speaker AYeah, Window person.
Speaker AWindow person.
Speaker AThat was so funny.
Speaker AYeah. Okay. Sorry.
Speaker AYeah, so, yeah, and then. Yeah. So you kind of got a taste of the world, you know, and then you made your way to Rum Field because you're trying to get.Because you got the notes about the media things with the mowing dads, and kind of your main objective was, for a while was stopping the mowing dads and that whole thing, which led to some side quests and other stuff. So.So kind of what I want to get to point out now is, in our short amount of time of these 12 episodes total, that you've got to explore the world, kind of learning characters, meet some new people. Who would you say are some of your favorite NPCs that you've met so far?
Speaker AOh, man, there's so many.
Speaker AOld Hutchison.
Speaker ATimothy.
Speaker ABecause of his voice.
Speaker AFinch is.
Speaker AOh, thanks, man.
Speaker ATimothy. What?
Speaker AWhere.
Speaker AOh, where'd he go?
Speaker AWhere'd he go?
Speaker AOh, he left already. He popped his head in and out, man.
Speaker AI didn't.
Speaker ABack to the van.
Speaker AI didn't think he got in my van. He snuck on, but, yeah, obviously, Finch. That's like the. The obvious one.
Speaker AThe goat.
Speaker AYeah. Finch rules.
Speaker AHe was a goat.
Speaker AWe all instantly loved Finch.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ALike, yeah, Mayor Tinselwick, Hutchinson.
Speaker ASal.
Speaker AThere's so many. Sal.
Speaker AMy husband. Boy can get it.
Speaker AWait, hold on.
Speaker AWhat.
Speaker AWhat was.
Speaker AHe was just really cool.
Speaker ASal was a dwarf, too? Yeah, I believe so.
Speaker AYeah. And he could just.
Speaker ABecause maybe you're like, oh, you're from a different clan of dwarves.
Speaker AAnd he said, these are my dwarf dogs. Daughters.
Speaker AAnd Stump said, hard to tell as.
Speaker AI remember that.
Speaker AHe could cut a rug. Yeah, like real.
Speaker AHe also, his heart monitor gave out like, six times.
Speaker ALeaseter's intriguing.
Speaker AAnd least there's a great one.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ALeash is a great son.
Speaker AThere he is.
Speaker AI mean, we all hate Felix, but, like, sometimes that's what you need.
Speaker AYou have to have those characters.
Speaker AHateable guy.
Speaker AIt's like a Bellatrix in Harry Potter, you know? It's like.
Speaker AI hate that it's like a Pirelli and Sweeney Todd.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIt's a.
Speaker AHe loved to hate the guy.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah. What about. Yeah, so we talked about Crosson Cross. A little trickster. Do y' all think you'll see more of Krauson?
Speaker AKraus?
Speaker AI hope so.
Speaker AI hope that.
Speaker AThat mother trucker.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIf we do, Stump is definitely going to be like, he still thinks he's our friend.
Speaker AOur friend, yeah. Exact.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWhat do you think of Melnag.
Speaker AIs very interesting. There's definitely so much more to Malnag.
Speaker AIt's just interesting that she's so old and you wouldn't think she'd be so powerful.
Speaker AYeah. She's working for the dmv.
Speaker ANo, she's scary.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThat's kind of interesting thought, you know, because I think the characters are going through the world and they've been assigned by the dmv and they're. They're trying to find their way. They're trying to figure out what they really want to do. And are they going to side with the dmv? Right. This whole thing. And now. Now we. We know a lot more about the story. Seems like someone's doesn't, you know, like, what's going on. Yeah, Finch and all of that.
Speaker AYeah, Finch already, like, kind of stood up to them, and we saw how that went.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASo that kind of helped us make our decision. But it's funny enough, we're out here on order orders from the dmv, Right. Yeah. We're supposed to be bringing these things back, you know.
Speaker AYeah. And that's one of the major things I wanted when I first started this world, was to give you all a moral dilemma. Like, you are you. You've been welcomed to this world by the dmv. To you, it seems like that is the social norm. That's where you start. You're given your identity, your papers. Excuse me. And then you.You know, that's how you make money. And so what I wanted to do was, like, give you all. Okay. The dmv, they're take care of you. You do these quests, you do these things. And then you start being faced with this moral dilemma of, are they on the up and up? Do we need to kind of separate ourselves from that? Like, they're providing us jobs, they're providing us money and solid work.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut at the same time, is there some kind of motives behind that? Do we want to stick with and become clerks, or do we want to move on to something else?
Speaker AIn any storyline, it's hard to tell Hard to know who to trust and.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd who didn't go with.
Speaker AAnd like, there's like a saying that is. It's hard to see the picture when you're in the picture. And like, if you're like listening to a story, it's kind of like, oh, well, obviously you guys should just side with the dads or like, you know, screw the dmv. But when you're like kind of living it like we've been, we chose to like, oh, let's play both sides. Let's kind of feel this out.
Speaker AI'm really glad you all went with that route too because I feel like that added so much more depth and dimension to it by being like, we're going to kind of play both sides. Like, we're making sure they're still friendly with us, but we're still doing our job. So I think that worked out great.
Speaker AI really like that quote and I'm going to use that in my personal life.
Speaker AThat's one of my favorite quotes. Which one?
Speaker AWhat he just said it's hard to.
Speaker ASee the picture when you're in the picture.
Speaker AYeah. Were you listening?
Speaker AThat was like what you say? That was like a. A homeless man in New York City. City said that.
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker AYeah, there's like, I can't remember who it was, but he was like asking homeless people in New York City, like he'd got any wisdom. And one of them said he was talking about his life and he said, you know, it's hard to see the picture when you're in the picture.
Speaker AI was like, dang, gotta, gotta step back.
Speaker AI guess another question I have for you all.Since some stuff, you know, was kind of done and then situations caused, you know, oh, we gotta turn right, you know, we've got to kind of leave the situation. Are there any currently like open ended things that you've been like, gosh, I really wonder about this, we never got to do this.Or is there something just like burning in the back of your mind so far that you're like, man, I really want to know what would have happened there.
Speaker AI do have one actually. So when we first went to Tumble, we didn't explore Tumble very much. And one of the things Krause von Kraus talked about was there's like a dinner where everybody in town gets together.
Speaker ATo eat the dinner.
Speaker AAnd I bet there's like a million characters that we just never met that are like, they're still meeting for dinner back in Tumble.
Speaker AOh yeah. Like the guy that Zed Flanders challenged on the Rooftop. That was very Icelandic.
Speaker AWait, is he from Tumbill?
Speaker AWhat's that guy's name?
Speaker AI don't know. There's some stuff I can't give away.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AThat's cool. I didn't realize.
Speaker AYeah, there's a lot of people.
Speaker AYeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker AThat. Well, not just. Yeah, that around that we haven't met.
Speaker AYeah, yeah.
Speaker ADid you guys have any, like.
Speaker ABut I will say that the whole tumbille thing with the dinner, I was kind of hoping you all would have stayed for that. But it's nothing like really story, like, altering. But yes, it is literally something that happens what I say every, like Thursday or something like that.
Speaker AYeah. It was very regular. And it was like, literally everyone will be there.
Speaker AIt's just a very. It's one thing that everyone in that town, because I was going to be like, this is one thing that everyone in the town can agree on.And there's like, they put everything aside, like, because it's just so good.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThat everyone literally just comes together, has a huge meal, they dance into the night. And that's just a general, normal thing. And I was going to make it just a very general, normal thing, like, because I know a lot of times when you throw that into games, it's like they start questioning it. Is this cult. Is this a. This. It's like, nope. They literally just have this one thing a week that they can all agree on on a wonderful place to be.
Speaker AWe would have gotten so paranoid and suspicious. We would have ruined it.
Speaker AWe still could.
Speaker AStill good. Yeah. Is there anything else that you all have been like, oh, man, I should have, like, wondering.
Speaker AI should have wrote this down.Because oftentimes when we're, like, driving home, like, like, I'll say something and you're like, yeah, I had all this plan that you guys could have explored, but you didn't.
Speaker AWe didn't explore a lot of the Magic School.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd I think that's probably part of it. And he's was so much more there. So I kind of be like, what else was there?
Speaker AYeah. I will say.I will say, like, I had a lot of stuff planned at that wizard school when it was going to be just the original whatever, you know, wizard school or not. I had a lot of the rooms, like, completely fleshed out and I had so many small secrets I was going to reveal.Like, in each room that you, like, explore floor, but you all never quite made it around the corner to all the, like, really important rooms. I will say that.
Speaker AOh, the really Important ones.
Speaker AReally important.
Speaker AYeah. He told me something, and I was like, what?
Speaker AI had a feeling because we asked you and you didn't give too much away, but there was like a. Like a touch of like, oh, we missed something big.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI want to know more about Sage, too.
Speaker AYeah, I will say. Say sage is going to play a big part in this next few episodes, at least in your start of your journey. So, yeah, you'll definitely have plenty of opportunity to kind of see more about. See more of Sage. See more of them. Yeah. But, yeah, back to the wizarding School.I was super excited there for some things to share, but I was like, oh, they never got there. Oh, well, I guess they'll never know. I can't tell you what they are because they'll reveal stuff about the world.
Speaker AWe're, like, locked into the bad ending now.
Speaker AWell, exactly.
Speaker AHe chose the wrong.
Speaker ANothing else we can do.
Speaker AThe. The good thing is, is that you're talking to Lauren and Nick and Nathan and not easy and alien.
Speaker AI don't want to influence it.
Speaker AMay all of a sudden start going that way.
Speaker ADo you need to open.
Speaker ADepending on what happens, I may, like, tell you some things.
Speaker ANick's going to open up. Beer.
Speaker AOh, open that beer. Go for it. But, yeah, depending on. On where things end up, I might have to reveal some things.Like, if you find some things out later, I'd be like, okay, you would have found this out, like, seven episodes ago in the Wizard School if you would have went this way. You know, I'll make sure to kind of bring that up. Yeah. Any other.
Speaker ATrying to think if there's. Yeah. Anything else that we could be about.
Speaker AMel Neck, whatever. Like, if I can share about it. I'd love to.
Speaker AWhere'd Finch go?
Speaker AWait a second. We're gonna jump ahead 70 episodes.
Speaker AWhere is. And what's the answer for the puzzle to get the ball of no Return.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker AThat's one I would.
Speaker AThat's the one you want.
Speaker AOh.
Speaker ADo you know that the modads have their own manifesto?
Speaker AI did.
Speaker AThat was one thing you all never found. That was on the farm.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AWhen he first met the original modads. I did leave behind a manifesto, but.
Speaker ASo we should have gone into the house. That.
Speaker AWhere it was, was inside the house.
Speaker AIt was inside the house.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd we even saw it about.
Speaker AYou just went about it wrong.
Speaker AWe. Well, we thought about going back and sneaking in so we could pet his dogs.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker ABut then we. We decided not to.
Speaker AI will say, you probably will never find this Again. So I'm gonna go ahead and. Do you want to know what the Mowing Dad's manifesto is?
Speaker AAbsolutely. It's probably just the lyrics to a kid rock song.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker ADid I just ruin it for you?
Speaker AThe manifesto of ordered growth. This is something also known as the manual or the Book of lines or that lawn thing. They'll have many names for it, but this is what the modads live by. Okay, so, listeners, you're getting a good glance into more into the lore of the Mowing Dads. All right? And it's, like, the thing, and then something about the thing. So, like, the first, like, oath. I don't know if you want to call it that.We believe the world has forgotten balance and has, like, little text under it. Growth without care becomes chaos. Chaos invites rot. Rot invites collapse. The grass knows this. It grows. Yes, but it also waits to be shaped.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker ASecond, we believe the law is wrong, obviously.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThe no Mo edict was written by those who fear responsibility. To tend is not to destroy. To cut is not to kill. To trim is to love.
Speaker AI can't believe we missed this.
Speaker ASee, he puts so much effort and thought into. Oh, I got a lot more that we don't even. I know, but there's. This is just, like, a piece of all the things that you prepare, and I watch you prepare.There.
Speaker AIt's more so, like, understanding. Like, there's so much more you could find if you take the time.
Speaker ABut the episodes are two hours long already.
Speaker AI know the third thing. The third rule. Whatever. We believe the grass remembers. Long before the sprawl swallowed roads and homes. The land was ordered. Paths were visible.Edges were respected. The grass bent willingly. Willingly beneath careful hands. Hands. We believe tools are sacred. The blade, the shear, the line. These are not weapons. They are instruments of clarity. Each cut is a promise. And this will not be abandoned.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AAlthough some tools have turned to weapons, true in the years to come, we believe growth must be earned unchecked. Growth is indulgence. Discipline allows life to flourish where it matters. A trimmed lawn is not empty. It is prepared. We believe the world will thank us when the vines retreat and the paths reappear. When the land breathes again, they will understand. They always do. Eventually.Until then, we will work quietly on weekends at night, where the guardians do not look. Order through trim is the mantra, alternating lines. Cut once, do not apologize. And at the back of the manifesto, when it was flipped over, is.Is a repeated handwritten line dozens of times. It looked better before. It looked better before. It looked better before. It looked better before, and so on and so forth.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AThat is the modads manifesto.
Speaker AWe might have even been more inclined to side with them had we found that I.
Speaker AAnd I initially really did kind of want to side. Side with them.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI think you and Nick were, like, very pro dads, and Stump was very, like, no, these guys. I don't like these guys.
Speaker AThey just were so hospitable.
Speaker AYeah. And. But Stump was in the grass and he was just.
Speaker AYou were getting married.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AGet married to a little mouse wife.
Speaker ASweet.
Speaker ASo, yeah, that was kind of one thing now that, you know, we kind of accepted this great big responsibility. The last episode we left everyone with was you all being like, okay, I guess we are now these saviors. That is basically your new title by Wizards Union is you are now the saviors of.
Speaker ANo pressure. Yeah.
Speaker ANo pressure at all. So with that pressure and knowing going forward what it is you have to do, you've got your objectives, collectives.Find the three magical artifacts, bring them back. Say, finch, save the world.
Speaker AYeah, I like that. You know, there's.It's some stuff that's complicated, you know, with the ram tum tigers and the rufiogos, but this is something that brings restoration to the whole world, and so it's a little easier to get behind that without getting behind any one particular.
Speaker AYeah. Where do you think this story is going to go as far as your characters?
Speaker ATo Jeremy.
Speaker ATo Jeremy.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWe have not seen Jeremy yet.
Speaker AI can't believe I forgot about him. And now I'm real close.
Speaker AIf Jeremy talks or. Yeah, it's just, like, too big.
Speaker AJeremy sound like Elantra.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AOh, my God.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AOf me.
Speaker AHave you ever heard, like, whale songs in the water?
Speaker AI'm going to. I can't wait.
Speaker ATwo wells were sitting in the bar, and one lean over to the other one and said,.
Speaker AWhat? So. So.
Speaker AOh, my gosh. I think that's a wonderful spot to wrap this up. Yeah.
Speaker AThank you for sharing.
Speaker AAs. So as your dm, I am very excited to see where your characters are going to go now. Now, faced with this responsibility, faced with. With this weight, I'm excited to see how that's going to change with the pressure put on them.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWith what Stump has just gone through with past trauma and, you know, learning to deal with that and these two standing up for you and, like, what this is going to look like now, traversing still this world you. You've only been into for what, six days now?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYou know, and now it's like, you've been here six days. You know that there's 60 people looking for you, all that you have been responsible for their deaths in one way or another. So not only do you have to worry about finding the artifacts, but you also have the DMV after you. And all those people that you've killed previously, whether on purpose or an accident, are also looking for you.
Speaker AUp until this point, too, there's kind of been, like, an order to things. Like, we get a quest, and there's like, a clear list of, like, okay, we go here, then there, then there. Now it's like, we could go to.There's three different.
Speaker AOne.
Speaker AWe. We could go anywhere.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIt's now in the open world section of the game.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI also wonder, like, before we wrap up, do we. So we have, like, the main objectives. Do. Do you guys have, like, personal objectives? Because mine is to probably get married.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ALike, yeah. And so do I. I think this.
Speaker AOne's trying to find a donut.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAre you gonna get married to just one. One person, or do you have one in each region, multiple husbands or wives in mind?
Speaker AThat's. That's. That's a good question. I. I have mostly my eye on Sal, but, you know, I. Sal's.
Speaker AWill Sal return? Will Sal make a comeback in this?
Speaker AI hope so. Find him.
Speaker AMy money's on he's hanging out six feet under right now.
Speaker AThat's so hard.
Speaker ANo, no, that. That's a tavern in the.
Speaker AOh, yeah, that's what I meant.
Speaker AI didn't mean that.
Speaker AOh, my gosh. Louie is definitely alert to the Malnag and what that means.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AThere's so much comes back with that and what. You know, and he's. He's suffering from serious, you know, trauma response from his.
Speaker ASo, I mean, as you know, like, the Malnag has made a couple appearances so far and is, like, very, like.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AWants you to know that she is toying with you. And so I'm excited to see how where that goes as well.
Speaker AAll that. Yeah, yeah. It's the fruition.
Speaker AAbsolutely. Well, thank you all for sitting and chatting with this intermission episode. I wanna. And listeners, let us know, too, what you think.Like, I think this is a great idea after each arc is done, to kind of go back and discuss the arc and kind of what's happened and what's to come and just. It's a great way to just kind of all also remember what the heck we did.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AAnd, you know, it's a great thing to do and then to just talk about the thing. So thank you listeners so much for listening to this intermission episode. We are excited to hop back into Ark 2.I won't let you know what the name is until the first episode is released. We're excited about that. But as always, I have been your Dungeon Master Corey. And I've been here today with Lauren.
Speaker ANathan and Nick Jackson.
Speaker AAnd this has been Quest Happens. See you on the next episode.
Speaker ABye,.
Speaker ASam.
